Kappé stores have been fitted with a range of narrowcasting units and self-service solutions that enable successful online management of the narrowcasting network. The web-based content management system n-cast is used to send content to the screens and kiosks fast and efficiently.

One aspect of the narrowcasting solution is the promotion unit. This is a unit placed in the middle of the store, which displays brand and product promotional material that is changed on a monthly basis. The 42-inch screen plays a prominent role in attracting shoppers’ attention and reinforcing the atmosphere the shopkeeper seeks to create.

Aside from that, Kappé stores also feature barcode scanners at various locations in the store. These scanners are equipped with a touch screen and a scanning device. Customers can scan an item to obtain further information about the product on screen. The barcode scanners are also linked to the POS database to ensure exchange rates and prices in different currencies are up to date.
